Bisphenol AF is used to cure or cross-link fluorocarbon elastomers,often inconjunction with an accelerator such as triphenyl benzylphosphonium chloride(BTPPC) by producing fluoroelastomers with convenient processing and excellenproperties in the final elastomer,including compression set,chemical resistanceand thermal stability.Bisphenol AF is also useful as a monomer in the synthesis ospecialty polyimides ,polyamides,polyesters,polycarbonates,polyurethanes,andother polymers.Polymers containing Bisphenol AF are useful in high-temperaturecomposites,in electronic materials,in gas permeable membranes,and in otherspecialty polymer applications.
